From Wellness Center To Yoga: Vi Davis Changed The Face Of Her Business At Yoga in Quartz Hill

By Elisha Neubauer

Every inch of Yoga in Quartz Hill has been designed to sooth and comfort your mind, body, and soul. Although only a short journey from the city of Palmdale, Yoga in Quartz Hill feels as if you're taking a journey into a small village, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The facility offers a wide range of services aimed to provide each student with exactly what they're looking for. Lyengar Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, and even Mommy & Me classes are available.

Each class is taught with a focus on the individual. This allows instructors to tailor each class to each student, regardless of their level of skill or attendance. Routines are modified for each student by the instructor so that everyone is able to take their steps toward their own goals.

The facility itself began its early days as a wellness center. It didn't take long for Vi Davis, founder, to realize that yoga would be a great addition. The company changed routes in 2009 and became Yoga in Quartz Hill.

"Yoga corrected a lot of my personal health issues and I love to practice Yoga," Davis said.

The facility offers over 20 yoga classes a week, Monday through Sunday. There is a varied choice of styles to choose from, with classes designed for children as well as adults. Everything from beginner's classes to experienced yogi classes is offered within the studio. Each instructor is required to be trained in RYT with over 200 hours.

"In addition to Yoga we also offer Hula Dancing, Zumba Fitness, and Feminine Centering Dance," Davis said.

As with any yoga practice, the benefits include greater flexibility, improved health, and a more positive body image. Another added benefit is a calmness of the mind. For those new to yoga, you don't have to be extremely flexible to begin your journey. Yoga will help to increase your flexibility, but your experience will not be hindered by your current level. It's all a journey, one which is tailored specifically to each person's skill set and experience.

"Come in and find agility, balance, strength, coordination, and enhanced cardiovascular health, as well as a sense of physical confidence and overall well-being, we call it Mat Rejuvenation," Davis said.
