Invest in Your Health with Motivate Studios' Lagree Fitness Method

Originally founded ten years ago by Cereza Richeson, the studio has enriched countless lives by teaching a unique fitness method called the Lagree. With two more locations recently opening in Montrose and Valencia, Motivate Studios, in Glendale, CA, is enjoying booming success. With prominent acolytes such as Michelle Obama, Sophia Vergara, and Ben Stiller, the Lagree Method has limitless versatility when combined with M3 Megaformer exercise machine. The routine allows you to move seamlessly from one exercise to the next while maintaining the heart rate and working the muscles throughout the class.

"Lagree Fitness is designed to target the slow-twitch muscle fibers?think long-distance runners versus sprinters," Richeson said. "These muscle fibers are your endurance muscles, which are longer, thinner, and are your fat burning muscle fibers; this will have you burning calories long after class."

The 45-minute workouts are high in intensity and very engaging. Each class is designed to push your muscles beyond their comfort zone, burning between 500 to 800 calories. The instructors achieve this through slow, controlled movements that keep the muscles under constant tension. Because of this method measured method of training, there is less opportunity for injury with little to no impact on one's joints.

Motivate Studios offers four distinct exercise sessions based on the Lagree Method: the signature 45-minute full body Megaformer, the Beginner course, the Mega Focus, and the Mega Lunch Express at 35 minutes. Each exercise can be modified to reduce or increase intensity, creating a powerhouse of a workout in a relatively short period of time.

"The team at Motivate believes you don't need more time to get in shape, just more intensity," Richeso said. "Every class is a full-body, 45-minute workout that incorporates your strength training, cardio, endurance, flexibility, and core, not just in one workout, but in each and every move."

Starting a new exercise routine can be intimidating, but Motivate Studios makes every effort to accommodate and encourage all of its students. The group classes are kept small in size in order to allow for more individualized attention from the instructors.

"One of the other great things about our workout is that it is low impact on the joints and limits repetitive movement, which, over time, can cause wear and tear on your joints," Richeso said. "The workout focuses on slow, resistance-based movements that are designed to stimulate fat-burning muscle fibers, torch calories, and sculpt the body from head to toe."
