Major Events And Catering Helps Make All Your Events Run Smooth

By Keith Donaldson

Based in San Diego, Major Events and Catering handles any all event needs. From private events to corporate, big or small, Major Events does it all. The company uses only the highest-trained chefs for their events. Owner of the company, Bill Major, took some time to answer questions about his company and what inspired him to get into the business.

What was the inspiration behind opening Major Events and Catering? How long have you been in business?

Major Events & Catering was born in November 2012 as a provider of tailgate food/ parties for Chargers games. Our first client, Dirty Birds, hired us to provide our "almost famous" slow smoked tri tip, mango bbq chicken, and all the fixins for their annual tailgate party. From that one event we have built into one of San Diego's top catering companies successfully supplying food and services to over 20 weddings and 50 events a year.

How would you describe the style of food you offer on your catering menus?

Having three culinary-school-trained chefs in-house gives Major Events the unusual ability to supply any type of food to up to 500+ guests, anywhere.

What are a few of your personal favorite menu items you offer and why?

Food wise we are best known for your slow-smoked ancho-rubbed tri tip. We will put our tri tip up to anyone's. Santa Maria tri doesn't come close to the range of flavors our tri tip bursts with. We carve it fresh on the buffet for the clients. Who doesn't want a carving station at their event?.

What would you say it is about your event planning services that make them stand out from others?

Major Events has everything our clients could need for an event in house. Our wedding packages include: food, drink, dessert, bar, tender, dj, photo, florist coordintor, etc. We do it all. We don't want our clients to have to stress on anything but their guests when we are involved with an event.
