Snapstation Events isn't your ordinary photo booth service. The Bakersfield, CA company is relatively new, but making a name for itself by modernizing the photo booth. The Snapstation photo booth machine is a simple stand-up computer and monitor that gives guests more freedom when taking photos than a traditional photo booth.
Michael Villa, who says his inspiration came out of need, started the company. Villa and his fiancée are planning a wedding for next year and when they started looking into entertainment for their guests, all photo booths just seemed outdated.
"It got us thinking with technology nowadays," Villa says. "Why couldn't it be incorporated into a photo booth? SO we did some research and stumbled upon a company that produces a machine that was everything we were looking for and Snapstation Events was born."
Here's how it works: guests can rent a Snapstation photo booth for their event. Depending on the selected package, guests get two, three, four or five hours of photo fun with extras added on. Guests can choose from 50 different picture templates and physical props to make their photos unique. Logos, text or filters can be added to photos. Guests can also create slow motion videos, GIFs or scribble on their photos before they print.
"The benefits of having a Snapstation photo booth at an event is that it's an instant icebreaker and allows the host to pay the fun forward by having a unique centerpiece at their event that draws people, attention and laughs out of everyone from family members to strangers and allows everyone to take home a memory of the event," Villa says.
