Apartments, condos and homes for sale in LA County come at a price but some areas definitely give you more bang for your buck. In this article we look at a few towns where you can find some real bargains if you know where to look. Check local newspapers, and Craigslist to find some of the best bargains.

Inglewood

Inglewood has a stable rental market and offers some good bargains for renters as compared with most LA County cities. Studio apartments begin around $650 month and you can find 2bd/2bath condo homes anywhere from $1200 a month and up. This area gives you good value for your money and is an area where renting is still somewhat cheaper than buying.

Culver City

In general, Culver City housing costs are lower than many areas and this applies to rentals as well as home purchases. You can find studio and 1-bedroom apartments as low as $695 a month. 1 bedroom start around $1,500 a month and you can get a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo for an average monthly rent of $2,500.

Azusa

Azusa is located at the entrance to the San Gabriel Canyon. Renters account for a little more than 45% of housing market. This area has a slightly higher rental vacancy rate and that means you have a little more stock to choose from and ore reasonable prices. You can find 1-2 bedroom apartments and condos around $1,000 per month and many 2 bd/2bath homes in the $1,250 to $1,500 month range. There are even 3 bd/3bath homes for $1,800 month. With a new metro gold line slated to open this year this area will become more appealing for downtown LA commuters.

Baldwin Park

If you are looking to rent a family home Baldwin Park is an area on the rebound and offers some very good rental prices for 2, 3 and 4 bedroom condos and homes that range between $1,200 and $2,100 a month. With six designated redevelopment projects underway more affordable housing units are being constructed expanding the rental market within the downtown area. If you are looking to take advantage of low home rental rates and a growing, revitalized city center and residential services Baldwin Park offers a good area filled with potential for those with a little vision.

Gardena

Gardena, located in southwest LA county sill offers affordable rental housing. A good community in which to work, live and play, Gardena values diversity and a strong community spirit. You can find many bargains in this area. Typically you can rent a 3 bd/2 bath condo or home for around $2,000 a month. 2bd/2bath apartments run between $1,200 and $1,500 a month so it is a very affordable location for families.

These are just a few communities where your rental dollars will get you more living space at a better per sq. ft. price, but there are many other communities in LA County where you can find similar bargains.
